 Press Declaration and Pricegiving
"realtime generation" celebrated it's finale with the first Vienna Demoparty at the Metalab. From the 4th to the 20th July we presented a unique culture festival: realtime calculated animations consisting of code, music and graphics. Side Events alongside the exhibition in quartier21 Freiraum consisted of the outdoor screening „frame[o]ut“ , panel discussions, fun competitions and Parties we were able to welcome 2.700 visitors from Austria and abroad.  At the final competition of the first viennese "Demoparty" at the hacker and technology lab Metalab the austrian/german group Speckdrumm won with their PC-Demo "Flowertower" against 2 Music Entries from Italy and the Czech Republic. For the voting a system developed by the Metalab was used, using blue LED lights.
The final „Celebrate the scene party“ with the Chiptune-musicians dot.matrix, DJ Ior and Paul Raal at Club Wirr was also visited by the scene stars that made up the afternoon's panel discussion: Skaven (Future Crew and Brainstorm, Finland) and KB (Farbrausch, Germany). Media response was huge, scenewise ‘realtime generation’ was covered by the european IP-TV broadcast station Demoscene.tv.
