In the total course of the festival the exhibition in the MQ Freiraum
offers a closer look on the „demoscene“ to a bigger public and helps to
reveal the answer to the question: „What are demos?”. The exhibition
offers a wide range of demoscene’s products: from such „old school“
platforms, like C64, Amiga, Atari, Spectrum to those state-of-art PC
and Xbox-based demos with stunning effects and soundtracks.

Grandeurs of the movement, representing different generations
discuss the development of the demoscene: from sustained fascination
for the retro „old school“ platforms to maximum use of the state-of-art
hardware to beat all records.

International Demoparty 18. / 19. / 20.07.2008
Metalab (Vienna 1, Rathausstraße 6)
For this event on the last weekend of the festival,
organisers expect 50-100 members of the international demoscene. The
Metalab is aimed to support networking between international guests and
local net culture artists in Vienna. Like a traditional demoparty, the
event in Metalab will provide a demo-competition with a reference to
Vienna.
