the international computer animation festival
This is a generation of digital artists, who produce real-time generated audio-visual animations and inspire the public, gaming industry and film-studios with their products. Along with their partners from the digital culture movement „Demoscene“ the organisers’ team offer a possibility to learn about the history and the language of the movement, as well as to have a closer look on audio-visual products, composed of code, music and graphic.
The festival “realtime generation” will take place from 4th to 20th of July 2008 in MuseumsQuartier / quartier21 Freiraum and offer a closer look on the subculture. In the course of the festival panel discussions with guests from all over Europe will take place, as well as open-air cinema in the yard of the MuseumsQuartier. In addition, parties are planned in Metalab, werkzeugH and Wirr to stress the creative substance of the Demoscene as the root of digital culture and a stimulus for animation art.
